6 Down, More Dreams to Go at Silver Maple Ridge

Exciting progress continues to unfold at Silver Maple Ridge, our 16-home development. Three more families have officially moved into their new homes, just months after our first three families moved in time for the holidays! With six out of sixteen homes now complete, this growing neighborhood is quickly becoming a vibrant and welcoming community.

As we enter Phase 2 of construction, our next six families are well on their way to achieving their dream of homeownership. The final four homes will follow, completing the development into 2026.

 Habitat Homeowner, Indra states, “Home to me is safety, home to me is warmth. A place where my children can grow up happy, safe, and protected. Not everyone gets this opportunity and I am forever grateful.” 

Each family has poured their time, effort, and sweat equity (250 hours) into building their homes, learning skills to make them successful homeownership, forming relationships, and laying the foundation for a thriving community.
Once all sixteen homes are complete, the City of Akron Park will begin construction, marking the first new park in Akron in 40 years! This exciting addition will bring even more opportunities for families to connect, play, and grow together.
