ReStore DIY Project_Flower Chandelier

Estimated Cost: $50

Project Time: 2 days

Difficulty: Easy

Supplies:

  • old chandelier – Shop ReStore!
  • wire cutters
  • spray paint
  • Industrial glue (waterproof)
  • pliers
  • planters & flowers
  • solar lights (Dollar Store)
  • polyurethane (waterproof)

Instructions:

  1. Remove light bulbs.
  2. Secure candle tubes to candle cups.
  3. Candle cups that you want to hold planters should have the candle tubes removed.
  4. Spray paint the tubes & chandelier.
  5. Spray with waterproof polyurethane – 2 coats or more.
  6. Glue solar lights in the tubes and planters on the candle cups.
  7. Plant flowers in planters, hang & enjoy!

Tip: Decide if you want all candle cups to hold solar lights or alternate with planters. Make sure your solar lights fit on the candle cups. Don’t forget to drill holes in the side of the planter for water drainage. 2-3 heavy duty zip ties work great to hang.
