What is it?
The Habitat for Humanity of Summit County ReStore is a perfect place to donate your gently-used or new furniture and appliances and do-it-yourselfers to shop. Our warehouse is filled with new and gently used building materials, furniture, and appliances available to the public at deeply discounted prices. Items are donated by individuals, contractors and retailers. Proceeds from the ReStore benefit the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Summit County and help fund the building of homes with local families in need of a safe, decent, affordable place to raise a family.

ReStore survives on donations. We accept donations of new and gently used building materials, furniture, appliance and more from both individuals as well as corporations. Every donation plays an important part in supporting our mission in Summit County.

How do I donate an item?
Accepted donations can be dropped off during available hours; Tuesday from 8AM to 3:30PM, Wednesday thru Friday from 8AM to 6PM, and Saturday 8AM to 4PM. We offer free donation pick ups in Summit County that can be scheduled by completing the online form above or calling us at (330)745-9098. Donations must be in good condition, either new or gently used. We do not accept broken or damaged items. Please check if your items are on the list of accepted donations.
How are items priced?
All items are priced 50%-90% of the estimated or researched retail value. We do offer additional sales and coupons throughout the year so follow us on social media and sign up for our email newsletter for additional discounts.
Where do items come from?
Donations to the ReStore come from a variety of community supporters. Individuals, contractors, suppliers, retail stores, remodelers, corporate offices, property managers, have all donated products to the ReStore.
What payment types does the ReStore accept?
Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover (sorry, no checks).
How often do you get new merchandise?
Inventory changes often – we are receiving new items daily as donations arrive.
Are my donations tax deductible?
Donations to the ReStore are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Please consult with a tax accountant or the IRS for a definite answer. We will provide you with a donation receipt, which you may use with your tax information. IRS regulation do not allow us to value to item.
How many days do I have to pick up my ReStore purchase?
After an item is purchased, you have 3 business days to come and pick up your items. If an item has not been picked up after the 3 day period, it will be considered a donation and put back on the sales floor.
Does ReStore provide delivery?
No, ReStore does not deliver your purchased items. You must coordinate pick up.
Does ReStore help load my purchased items into my vehicle?
ReStore staff are able to assist in loading your items once a liability form has been signed. Staff are not liable for any damage of the item or vehicle while loading.
Why are some ReStore items priced more than others?
Some name brand, high quality and excellent condition items are priced more than others. We offer items at all price ranges, meeting all budgets. The sales from our ReStore support our mission in building affordable housing in our community. Our goal is to raise funds to help local families while also providing affordable items for the community.
Does ReStore offer discounts for veterans or students?
Yes! Veterans who show an active or retired military ID at checkout will recieve a 15% discount on their purchase. Students who show an active student ID at checkout will recieve a 20% discount. University of Akron faculty who show their ID will recieve a 15% discount.
Does ReStore only sell used items?
No, we often get new items donated to the ReStore along with gently used items.
Recycling is a huge part of ReStore. Donations of new and gently used unwanted items are saved from the landfill and offered to customers at great prices. Many furniture pieces or building materials are flipped or refurbished into creative new pieces giving them a second life. Here at ReStore we know how important recycling is so we also offer additional recycling opportunities and events.
