Habitat for Humanity was founded on the belief that every person should have access to safe, affordable housing. This belief has guided our organization since 1976, and it extends to our work across the globe.

The week of February 29, 2020, a team of 12 representatives from Habitat for Humanity of Summit County will travel to Oaxaca, Mexico as part of Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village program. In a country where more than 50% of residents are living in poverty conditions, the work we will do there is incredibly important. Twelve million people wake up each day knowing that they will not have access to safe drinking water, education, health care, or housing. We are blessed to have the opportunity to bring the mission of Habitat for Humanity to them, and to work hand-in-hand with other Habitat affiliates throughout the country to make affordable housing a reality, and help lighten the burden so many carry every day.

Please join us in creating this global change by supporting our Global Village trip. Your gift will help ensure Habitat has the resources needed to help lift up one of the most impoverished regions in the world. The Global Village program embodies Habitat’s commitment to serving those amongst us who need our assistance the most, and your support is so critical.
