Rick Thoerig has been a part of the HFHSC team for the past nine years. Rick was originally hired at Habitat as a Site Supervisor in 2002. For five years, Rick worked as a Site Supervisor overseeing volunteers on build sites.
In 2007, HFHSC opened the ReStore facility. The ReStore is a part of Habitat that collects new and gently used furniture, appliances, materials and building supplies. Once these items are collected they are sold to the public with all proceeds helping Habitat build new homes.
When the ReStore opened in 2007, Rick became the ReStore Manager. Now instead of managing volunteers on work sites, he helps to oversee the daily operations of the store. Rick is also responsible for finding donations, coordinating store volunteers and establishing relationships within the community.
Rick is one of the veteran employees at Habitat and truly knows the in's and out's of how HFHSC works. His skills and qualifications make him an asset to the organization and a great ReStore Manager.
