When Rich was laid off two years ago the family turned to East Akron Neighborhood Development Corp and learned about Habitat for Humanity of Summit County.
Rich has worked in the trucking industry for over 15 years and is currently attending Stark State College to pursue a career in nursing. Laura is a teacher’s assistant at Barberton Head Start and has worked there for 10 years. They have two boys, Rich II (15) and David (14). Both boys will attend Barberton High School in the fall. The family enjoys baseball and is active in their church.
The family is excited to partner with Habitat not only to rehab or build their own home, but to help other families realize their dreams as well. They look forward to volunteering their time and energy to the Habitat program.
